The milestone anniversary commemoration of the “Bloody Sunday” march took place in Selma, AL the first weekend of March 2015.  This historic event commemorated the anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery march and the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

The annual event, which also included a weekend festival, is the nation’s only annual and largest civil rights gathering with over 50,000 attendees over two days.  The 50th anniversary brought out over 150,000 attendees.  The honorary chairs for the anniversary commemoration were Congressman John Lewis, Ambassador Andy Young, Reverend Joseph Lowery, and Martin Luther King III.  President Barack Obama was the major speaker of the event.

Eventfully Yours represented on the National Planning Committee, co-chaired the annual festival, and served as the point of contact for the U.S. Cabinet members and their teams.
